Alex listened to the doctor, there was very little she could say that Alex would trust, In Canada the Brotherhood was treated with distrust in most of the major settlements, remnants of the Brotherhood of Steel maintain an embassey in Viceroy's Square under heavy guard by the government of the Confederacy. When the UEE arrived the Brotherhood was given a little more freedom to operate but the relationship between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Confederacy have been cold to say the least with the UEE acting mostly as peace keeper. Alex's eyes landed on the woman when she entered the tent."They got away though didnt they" Alex said in a harsh tone "what am I supposed to say to the steel menace we've been fighting for decades, If i knew you lot would be here id of recomended this place be glassed" Alex said, for the first time her accent showed, being from further north than anyone here would of been, Alex glear at the the brotherhood member treating her never left her eyes. The brotherhood had been a plague in the north, Thanks to canada's cold alot of her pre war tech in the remoter parts were left virtually untouch the same. Yellowknife had been home to and advanced cybernetics manufacturer that made implants for the US army that fought in Alaska. A fate that was engrained in Alex's mind whenever she saw the symbol of the brotherhood of steel, This distrust and almost hatered was all she could fixate on as the memories of Yellowknife would flood her mind.

The Yellowknife Volunteers

Alex's section reached the Charleston capitol building and linked up with the other scout units, from there they large formation would make their way to Wade Airport to rally with the entire regiment. Mac, Le Clear, Marx and Tech would find rest for awhile in a hanger that housed the scout unit. "Mac" A voice yelled, A stern tall woman stood at the hanger doors resting on her giant anti material rifle "viens" She said, Mac stood and walked to the woman, saluting her as he got to her "qui Captien" he said "Colonel wants the situation" She said before he followed. The Airfield had five vertibirds landed on the run way that must of been there for a few days, Two quad rotar large vertibirds and three standard ones, As the two walked towards the control tower it was clear that the advanced groups from the Confederacy were arriving in force even some of the vehicles had been unloaded from the vertibirds. "Is the operation begun" Mac asked before the woman smiled "No, The Yellowknives have been tasked with this assembly area about half the regiment is here" The Captain explained "Here we are" She said and opened the door to the control tower before the two of them acsended the stairs to the control tower.

"Sargent" The man that stood before them with his hands behind his back mulling over a map as other officers ploted and stuck notes to the map "So you met resistence" He asked his eyes not moving from the map, The two saluted "No sir, we ran into a Brotherhood force" Mac answered his question "Brotherhood?" He asked as one of the officers changed the Whitesprings symbol to a small wooden cog "Have they taken possession of the resort" He asked "I dont know but they have made it at least a staging area" Mac said "Hmm, problem, this is where your XO was lost" The man asked as the Captian nodded "Yes sir, Mac reports that she was fighting with a few knights to buy them time to withdraw to Charleston" She explained "Hmm, your officers know the orders to destroy anything that may lead to information about the UEE's arrival" He asked "Yes sir" She assured the man as he sighed "But you cant be sure" He said "General Wells landed in the capital wasteland early, he encounted little to not resistence in washington and set up the beach head. The UEE has sent a lord apprently to oversee the invasion of north america. The crossed the Potomac into Virginia last night in force they make for Richmond where they hope consolodate before moving further in land. Confederate Forces are to secure key positions in three days and hold till the UEE arrive "The man explained "so far we've fought raiders, gouls and super mutants, The brotherhood present a bigger....obsticle" He looked up for once, his features were older than the others, graying black hair and trimmed beard, his uniform was well presented, the scarf he wore rested round his neck as he placed his beret on. "Captain, I want you to take the scout company ahead, Picket the resort, Ill send Walker with the 1st and 2nd companies while I shall bring up the rest of the regiment by nightfall" The man said "Yes sir" The Captain responded

As the evening began to fall, the sun hanging in the sky turning the area a gentle amber, birds would start to roost but there was no sounds in the hills and forest that surrounded the resort, The eye bots that patroled the grounds would begin sending signals like a flood back to the Lammasu as they would slowly be made awear of the hundreds of movement signals filling the ridge and woods around the Resort, The air was still, the kinda still that was uneasy, tense like wait for the thrunder storm before it struck. "Scavengers" Alex said with a smile

Rose turned off her coms and stretched her arms over her head. "I didn't want to expose my presence here so soon after reuniting. I thought I'd give myself at least a week of rest and recon to get the lay of the land before I started cleanup." She commented to Mistral before getting up. "I also wanted to create a new symbol and flag for us to settle at the front of the building, in the middle of the Responder ones" She complained crossing her arms behind her head. "Not to mention I wanted to set up more Turrets and Protectrons out there and maybe a few hidden Assultrons. Well, it's too late now, though I should head top side and show my face to the rest of Kat's people and do some recon on the state of the refuge. Have you finished all the modifications on my suit?".

Rose moved back into the presidential suite and the computer room she had there, which connected her to Victor and the entire base. "Victor, can you pull up all the information you have on this Beastie that was let loose a week ago, please?" Rose asked.
While Victor summarised the information for her, Rose changed into her new body suit that went under her armour, Mistral had many years to make a better version than the one she had left in the vault for Rose to find. Once clothed Rose looked over all the information and wrote small notes on a notepad, she didn't plan to give Kat all the beast's information, that would be too suspicious and she didn't want to answer many questions about how she knew all the beast's information.
Leaving the suite Rose headed down to the armoury and put on her armour. Mistral had given her quite a few updates one of which was that she no longer had to wear the bulky Pip-boy as it was minimised and placed into the arm guards itself, another change was that her helmet was now able to retract into the suit so she didn't need to take it off and carry it around when not needing it. There were a couple of details added to her suit that made her happy, a skirt-like pouch sat on her hip, fabric covering her intimates and on her opposite thigh was a gun holster.
Slipping her sword and guns into their sheaths Rose then headed to the medical bay and picked up a bag full of medical items to replace the ones Kat's Group already used. Once done Rose once again moved back to the Communication room and looked at the cameras, when the group of knights that Kat sent into the Resort left the third floor Rose left a message with whoever was listening for Kat that she was on her way over before she hurried to the hidden entrance, grabbing her Mr Handy on her way. Turning to the Assultron that was close by, she knew that Mistral had already hopped over to see her off. "If it looks like I'm in trouble and about to be killed, Let loose all manner of beasts and bots and come get me," Rose told her seriously before smiling at her and heading out into the resort, she leisurely walked the halls and opened up rooms with hand scanners, to take a peek before locking them again after making notes in her pop-boy of what needed to be fixed and cleaned later. Mistral and Victor programmed her to be the new owner of the entire resort so she could lift the lockdown protocols that kept any other group from the top hotel rooms and cabins.
Stepping out of the building Rose ignored the BoS that littered the courtyard, she took in the buildings around and nodded to herself, this place was even better than the blueprints she saw in the bunker. There was plenty of room for people to live and grow. She let out a quick whistle to a nearby Scribe and threw them the medical bag she had with her.
"Take that to Kat and tell her that Rose will check the fence line at the golf course. The bag has medical supplies to replenish what you guys have used already," she said. As she approached the golf course, several Assultrons moved to all the entrances of the main building and stood ready to stop anyone from getting in.
Rose got to the golf course and smiled, it was exactly as she hoped it would be, perfect for farmland, crops and small homes. She made her way to the fence line and began to walk along and for every breach she found she made a note in her new armour pip-boy where it was so she could mark in the blueprints for when she had people coming for work. She approached a golf cart parking spot and opened one of the hoods. She made Mr Handy keep track of how many they found so that later on she could see if Mistral or Victor could recreate the busted batteries, if she could get them up and running again it would be easy for new residents to move around.

-----------------------------------

Rose spent a few hours walking the entire grounds of the resort making notes of where to fix and what to modify. When she returned to the main courtyard she caught up with Kat and spoke to her before Kat had her group pack up and began to leave. Rose met with the hurt Newbie briefly as they were released and warned her softly that the grounds were going to turn hostile to anyone who got too close to the boundary once she left. She kept to herself that it would be Non-Leathel Hostile since she didn't need to know that.
Over the next month, Rose began the renovation of the Whitespring boundary starting from the road around the golf course and then a second layer around the resort including the cabins/shops outside the main building. Using the bots and Handies, she had them push in discarded cars and stripped them down completely, using all the metals to create sturdier walls and fencing. She managed to find and fix a cargo truck, she had several Assultons take the truck out several times to two different locations and brought back everything they could from them. One Location was the Other Enclave research base and had the Assultrons bring back all of their research that had been conducted including the bodies of the monsters that had been there, she cleaned out the Whitespring bunkers Service entrance and had them sent down to Mistral and Victor. The other being Vault 94 which she had found out through Mistral was a Seed Bank as well as an experiment. Rose was thankful that the experiment ended 200 years ago so she didn't have to feel too bad about what had happened to the Vault Dwellers.

--------------------------------------

Rose stretched her arms over her head, it was early morning, the sun barely crossing the horizon as she made her wary along the boundary, walls now 6 feet tall reinforced with steel from melted cars that couldn't be repaired. The entire boundary of the Whitesprings was now like a fortress with no more flimsy boom gates that anyone could cross, or tiny chicken wire mesh fencing. Although anyone in a power-armour could still jump over her walls she hoped they wouldn't or else they would be hit with heavy fire from the SentryBots and Assultrons. Small houses were starting to be built at the base of the Golf course hill. Three of the seven Golf courses were already being turned into farmland and two others were being fenced off for cattle and other farm animals. The Seventh course that sat behind the Golf Club was being paved over to act as a landing strip for any Vertibirds that Kat would bring.
By the time she got back into the Bunker, the Sun had risen quite high in the sky. Making her way to the Communication room she spoke to Mistral about what was about to happen, although she was unsure of the path she was taking, she also knew that it had to be done. Placing the headphones over hear ears of the communications radio Rose filed into all frequencies across Appalachia.
"Good morning Appalachia, My name is Rose and I am coming through all radio frequencies. I made a broadcast a month ago saying that I was re-establishing Whitesprings as a haven and that once beasts and surroundings have been cleared to my satisfaction I will be opening up the resort once again. Before I open the gates to all of you in need I wish to extend an Olive Branch to all the Factions of Appalachia, to come to Whitespring to participate in talks about the future of Appalachia, possible collaborations and establishing an order that we all can live with. If you are willing to participate come to Whitespring's Main entrance in five days, Please bring only two Delegates to participate and no more than four guards. Also, bring a symbol of your faction, be it a flag or a symbol of some sort. Thank you for your patience. Rose out" She spoke, her voice steadier than she felt before closing the transmission and taking off her headphones. "I wonder if anyone will come" she spoke aloud and leaned back in the chair. "Let's have an Assultron stand guard in the Guard post at the main entrance with the ID camera, we will need to reprogram it to place the factions' symbol onto their ID cards" she added.

After Alex was released the Confederate troopers melted back towards Wade Airport, The Yellowknife Regiment had arrived in full as well as the Princess Patricia's Regiment. They had fortifyed Wade Airport an entire squadron of vertibirds had made the airport its home as the heavy quad birds had been used to clear debris. The Confederate Force had archieved its objective and secured a staging area for the massive UEE force moving down from the Capital wasteland. Once they had arrived UEE and Confederates turned their attention to the Crater Raiders, Like a hammer the two combind forces smashed the raiders and after only two weeks of fighting they raiders disbanded into small bands. With Wade Airport under Confederate control and the raiders strength smashed the UEE moved into Charleston taking the City Hall as their base of Operations. Under General Wells the reconstuction of the once great First Responders stronghold began under the flag of the UEE.

The Month Passed

Alex was promoted, she now lead the Second company of the first battalion of the Yellowknives, Her job had been to keep raider activity to the bare miniumn in conjunction with the Imperial Knights that the UEE had deployed to help keep order but when all communications had been interupted by the broad cast from Whitespings the field units were recalled. General Wells and the newly appointed General Carpenter met with their staff as it was decided, General Wells would represent the UEE for this meeting and the General Carpenter would represent the Canadian Confederation and in five days they would lead their men to the meeting.

The UEE was on time, like everything in the Empire the Vertibird from Charleston was sleeker that a brotherhood one, its wings were straighter and the fusalage longer. it touched down outside Whitespings as General Welles disembarked the vert her was followed by his aide a brotherhood scribe on a dark gray uniform. flanked on either sie by two Imperial Knights in their armor, UEE Powerarmor was vastly different to the armor seen in the US but never the less made the right impression, they moved to the assualtron that stood guard and waited for the Confederate delegation to arrive. When they did, though the Confederation lacked power arm they made up for it with usable vehicles, more so their armored vehicles, the delgation arrived in one such and consisted of General Carpenter and his XO, his guards were made up of other staff Officers including Alex who was given command of the Guard unit.

The two Delegations awaited entry as they linked up and readied to seek out whatever this whole thing was about

The Assultron stayed silent until the second group arrived, its sensors showing that the first group was waiting for another.
"Welcome to Whitespring. Will the first group please hand over your Symbol of your Faction" a female robotic voice spoke and once it was handed the symbol walked into the guard post, a flash of light quickly lit up the room before it came back out and handed the Symbol back. "Now will each of you please step into the Booth, please type your name into the computer and then stand in front of the camera so that we may take a photo for your Identification card" they added. When they were given their card, it held their symbol in the top right corner and the photo on the left with their names next to it.
Once both groups had all their identification the Assultron took up its post once more next to the guard station, the large gate opened allowing the two groups in. There a Mr. Handy greeted them.
"Welcome, welcome. You are the first to arrive, Miss Rose will be delighted to know you have come" He spoke. "Please follow me to your lodgings, I assume since you both came together it would be best to place you next to each other. Unless you all would like to stay together?" He asked, the gates closing behind them. "Follow me," he asked and flew off down the road. If they had been there a month ago the road would have been full of junk and cars but now the roads were clean and the bushes and trees were well groomed. The bot flew past two singular cabins and floated up the stairs to a two-cabin combo. "Each of you please place your palms on the palm readers, these two cabins are connected with a door in between them for privacy, the palm readers will be your keys. The Kitchens are fully stocked, please make yourselves at home while we wait for more Delegates to arrive. Miss Rose will have a Whitespring Assultron come to bring you to the conference room. Also please hand me your flag or symbol so that we may place it at your seats" he took their symbols/flags and hovered. "Thank you for coming to this conference. The grounds are free to walk around but please do not try to enter the Resort before your guide arrives. Have a good day" he said before hovering off to the main building, Mr, Handy handed off their Symbols/flags to another Assultron which entered the front doors as he headed back to the front gate to wait for the next group.

"I see," Kat spoke softly. "You've either confused us with someone else, or you've been fighting a chapter of the Brotherhood that's far removed from any I'm aware of," Kat responded to the hostile. "Your bones have been set, and your injuries repaired by my company's chief medical officer. Once you are able, you will vacate this area and report to your superiors that the Brotherhood of Steel seeks to unite the fractured land under the flag of Kat's Watch. I hope that in our future meetings, you will not open fire first and instead, talk."Kat moved to the side of her fallen brothers and observed them, memorizing every detail of their faces. She spoke a soft reverence for them before receiving word that Rose was on the grounds. "Very well, her supplies are most appreciated, and information on this beast, even more so."

Two Days Later

When Kat's forces arrived at their destination, they found it being used as a den by the creature, with various eggs laid in pods, gelatinous in nature. At the center was a bipedal form, somewhat battered but with human features. The battle was hard-fought, but the Brotherhood successfully forced the creature out of their ancestors' former stronghold. Though the creature managed to escape, they had done significant damage to it—its wings tattered, claws missing, and a metal rod jammed permanently inside the creature's left eye.

Now

Sightings of the now-named Shatterwing Dragon had increased over the month. From its tattered wings, a black smog and ichor emanated, rapidly mutating creatures into crazed, horrible versions of themselves.

Reports of human-like creatures born from gelatinous eggs taking flight and spreading the blight were prominent. Theories, including research released by the Brotherhood, suggested that human captives were being mutated inside the egg sacks, similar to the FEV's virality. The Brotherhood had reclaimed two key locations and, over the month, built them up with their resources. Kat, with her new position, had secured the Brotherhood's future and begun work on unifying the Brotherhood as a whole.

A new chapter had joined their forces under Kat's banner, and in Appalachia and beyond, the Brotherhood's ways were slowly changing—from the previous dogmatic hoarders of technology to reclaimers of lost tech who shared their findings with their allies. Even some Raiders joined the Brotherhood, undergoing their training campaign.

With Rose's message received, Elder Kat chose her chief medical officer to accompany her to the Whitesprings Resort, bringing with them two scribes and two of Kat's Hand—elite guards in modified power armor powered by a unique mineral of the area, Ultracite.

Kat's Vertibird landed 10 minutes after the newcomers, and they disembarked.
"I like what they've done with the place since last I saw it," spoke Dawn, the red-headed and freckled chief medical officer of the Brotherhood, with her hair in a messy bun held together by sharp metal sticks with a charm of the Brotherhood's emblem.

Approaching the automated staff, Kat herself presented the flag and a plate-sized steel emblem of the Brotherhood of Steel.

They each complied with the photo booth's requirements, the elite guards removing their helmets for the process.

After being guided to their accommodations, Kat rubbed her metallic thumb over the shining surface of the new ID card, seated on the chair with Dawn nearby.
"It's strange being back here," Kat murmured, her eyes scanning the elegant, if slightly eerie, surroundings of Whitesprings.
"This place used to be a sanctuary, a reminder of what the world was before the bombs fell it feels more like a ghost, clinging to an era that's long dead, now... It's something far different, resurrected almost"Dawn nodded, her expression thoughtful.
"And yet, it's a fitting place for this meeting. A place where the old world and the new collide. Rose always did have a flair for the dramatic."Kat chuckled softly, the sound tinged with both fondness and weariness.

"That's your Rose, alright. She's always had a knack for surviving in this twisted world she found herself in. But this time... it feels different. The Shatterwing Dragon, the mutated creatures—it’s not just survival anymore. It’s about shaping what comes next."Dawn leaned forward, her voice dropping to a more serious tone.
"Do you trust her? After everything that's happened? This alliance... it could either be our salvation or our downfall." Kat took a deep breath, considering her words carefully.
"Rose has her flaws, no doubt about that. But she’s always been loyal, in her own way. And she knows the stakes. If we can pool our resources and knowledge, we might just have a chance to turn the tide against this new threat. Besides, she’s one of the few people who understands that the Brotherhood has to evolve if we’re going to survive."Dawn glanced at the ID card in Kat’s hand, the weight of their responsibilities pressing down on them both.
"I just hope this meeting doesn’t turn into another battlefield. We’ve seen enough of those to last a lifetime." Kat smiled faintly, her resolve hardening.
"If it comes to that, we’ll be ready. But let’s hope we can do something different this time. For once, let’s hope we can rebuild instead of destroy."Dawn returned the smile, albeit more subdued.
"For the Brotherhood. For the future."Kat nodded, her gaze turning back to the door. "And for those who can’t fight for themselves."

With that, they both fell silent, preparing themselves for the conversation ahead—one that could shape the future of the Brotherhood, and perhaps even the Wasteland itself.

Rose stood in the middle of the meeting room, each time a new group arrived she got a notification from her original Mr. Handy. She had hoped that her request would gain at least a few groups, but the number of Delegates that arrived was daunting and hopeful. For each new group, a new set of seats and tables was brought into the room and when the room got too tight Rose had to change location. She ended up in the largest room, the Governor's Hall which, like the others had been locked away before Rose had awakened.
The tables were set up in a large U shape, a table seated for two for the delegates with room for four seats behind them for their guards. In front of the tables, their Symbols/ Flags sat to show where they would sit. Set in front of the stage sat a single seat and table. On top of the stage, a white screen sat set up for slides with two other screens on each of the walls beside the stage.
Rose placed a jug of water and two glasses on each table for the delegates then placed a folder in front of each delegate position on their tables and wondered how this whole thing was going to go, she had never been in this position before. All that she had ever been was an experiment/maid/playmate. Yes, she had been made to study how to survive in the wilderness/apocalypse but was she smart enough to chair such an important decision-making position? Just because she was "president" of the bunker didn't mean she was president of the entire US or even a small piece of Appalachia. Taking a deep breath she tried to calm herself and sat in her designated seat. Two flags sat in front of her table one with a strange black symbol with RAC written under it and the other had a picture of the front of the Whitespring building, they showed who she was there to represent.

After a significant amount of time after the last Delegate arrived Rose figured no others would come and recalled the Assultron from in front of the gate. Soon after white Assultrons began to leave the Whitespring building and gathered the delegates, escorting them into the building and to the room. Rose greeted each group at the room entrance, wearing a fitted pristine pre-war black two-piece suit, a white shirt peeking out from under her fitted black blazer.
"Thank you for coming, please be seated at your designated Symbol or Flag," She told them. When they entered the room they saw several Assultrons along the walls and if they looked hard there were many Camreas in the cornices of the roof. There was one white Assultron in the room, it was different from the others as it was the only one wearing a lab coat standing near Rose's table and peeking out from behind the lab coat on its chest was the same RAC symbol as the flag on Rose's table. Against the two side walls sat a long table with cups and sitting in baskets were preserved pre-war instant Coffee, tea bags, sugar and a single Protectron at each table, modified to create milk and boiled water on command.

The UEE, set up their quaters, the Scribe that had come with them began his duties and two of the knights exited their armor, Both the UEE and The Confederacy's delegations were the fromt he millitary of both factions, The UEE's diplomatic corp wouldnt arrive in the US for sometime and the Confederacy was simply forfilling its obligations as allies of the UEE any real talks would be between the UEE and the other groups. However General Crapenter's mission was to find a way to contact the NCR, after their war with the Brotherhood on the west coast the CCR or Candian Confederate Repbulic had been hard pressed to restablish connact with the NCR.

___________________________________________________________

General Horatio Wells, A tall older man, his uniform pristine, the sliver buttons and accents shone in contrast to the dark blue of the uniform. His belt wraped around his waist held a pistol and a sliver cylinder He spoke with his aide a Brotherhood Scrib that wore the unsual dark gray and blue uniform of the european branch of the brotherhood. The scrib was younger, a girl with jet black hair and glasses, she had asian features and clung to what only be described as a tablet, The two of them seem to share a mutual respect as they spoke. General Wells guards didnt wear their armor into the meeting, they all wore similar uniforms to the general however they were white and carried the same style of weapons. they stood in place around the general as they all waited.

General Rebecca Carpenter, A woman in her early 30s her blonde hair tied up in a bun, she had a scar that ran down the side of her face. Like all the other Confederate soldiers her uniform was khaki, her collar was adorned with the red and gold rank boards that marked her out as a general, as her uniform was stamped with the insignia of the CCR, Alex stood with her, Alex had taken over as the second Confederate Delegate after General Carpenters XO had fallen sick, Alex was the next highest ranking officer in the confederate contingent which left only three guards to protect general Carpenter, they all wore their dress unifromes well a credit to how far the Confederacy had grown.

The two delegations took their seats, the UEE sat to the the right of the CCR and closer to the head of the table. General Wells rested his hand relaxed on the table as the scribe sat next to him, On the other side sat General Carpenter and Alex. Alex lent on the table as general carpenter sat with her arms crossed as they waited for the meeting to start.

Once everyone was seated Rose walked to her table and stood behind her chair.
"Once again, I thank you all for coming to this conference. I shall formally introduce myself. Hello, I am Roseanna Tempest. You may call me Rose or Mrs Tempest if you wish to be formal," she introduced herself. She covered up an eye twitch at her new last name with a smile.
"Today will be the start of several topics of discussion. The first topic is the Creature newly Dubbed as the Shatterwing Dragon. Second, the state of Whitespring, its new developments, and the surrounding land that I wish to reclaim and incorporate back into Whitesprings possession and Thirdly, the Creation of a new Group. Should anyone have other topics you wish to bring up, please do not hesitate to mention them at the end of the day and we will get to them as well." Rose began and picked up a remote from her table and pointed it to the screen behind her, on the screen the picture of the Shatterwing Dragon in its prime appeared.
"As you all know the state of Appalachia and West Virginia is upturned due to its new threat of the newly named Shatterwing Dragon. In the folder in front of you, I have compiled a file of this Mutation for all of you. All the information I have is from my explorations of old Enclave hideouts, I believe you all can agree with me that knowledge is power and although the Enclave must be destroyed their research should still be preserved for instances such as this," she stated and opened her folder to keep on topic, the eradication of the Shatterwing Dragon and it's mutations of the human population.
